Several generous and thoughtful organizations are holding fundraising events this year, with all donations being made to the Christmas Bureau of the Columbia Valley.
Mark your calendar and donate to our very worthy cause. Because of the generous donations from businesses and individuals, we were able to make Christmas brighter for 278 families in our valley last year! Without the support of so many people in our community, this could not happen. Let’s make it a year to remember once again!
UPCOMING EVENTS – 2023
November 16th – Ladies Night at Home Hardware Invermere
Join us on November 16th, dress in your best tropical outfits, enjoy the evening and start your holiday shopping off on the right foot.
November 24th – Rockinomix at the Whitehouse Pub
Rockinomix will be playing a concert at the Windermere Whitehouse Pub on November 24th. $20 entry fee. 19+ only. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the band starts at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the door or at the Whitehouse Pub. This is a cash only event and all proceeds will go to the Christmas Bureau of the Columbia Valley.
November 25th – Santa Photos at the Invermere Legion
Join the festivities of Light Up and get Santa Photos done! Event takes place from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Invermere Legion. $10 per photo
COMPLETED EVENTS – 2022
November 19th – Canadian Tire’s Cram the Cruiser
Canadian Tire will hold their annual toy drive from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Make a purchase in-store or bring a gift and place it in the RCMP vehicle which traditionally sits outside the door – or you can make a cash donation.
November 25th to December 11th – Sinferno Hot Chocolate at The Station Pub
Warm up at The Station Pub after a crisp outdoor outing! Grab the Sinferno Hot Chocolate for $10/mug. All proceeds go to the Christmas Bureau of the Columbia Valley to help provide families in need have a Christmas. The event is running from Nov 25th to Dec 11th, 2022!
November 26th – Photos with Santa
The Invermere Legion will hold Santa photos from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Photos are by donation!
November 26th – Hamburgers on Wonderbread at the Whitehouse Pub
Hamburgers on Wonderbread will be playing a concert at the Windermere Whitehouse Pub on November 26th. $20 entry fee. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the band starts at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the door or at the Whitehouse Pub.
December 3rd – Red Apple’s Fill a Sleigh
Red Apple is once again holding their “Fill a Sleigh” day. The fire truck will also be on the grounds from 10:00 a.m.to 2:00 p.m for gift donations.
In addition, The Christmas Bureau receives a percentage of their sales, on all items, everyday beginning November 12th and ending December 3rd. So plan to do some shopping at Red Apple between these dates. During this time you can also make a toy or cash donation.
December 15th – Distribution Day @ The Columbia Valley Centre
Applicants – Gift pick up is between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Make sure to bring your I.D. and the I.D. for everyone else listed on your application!
December 18th – The play ‘Santa’s New Sleigh’ at the Invermere Legion
